Last week, Joshua Ellis joined the Luxury Fabrics collective for The Mill on The Row — a dedicated week on Savile Row that celebrated the finest in British clothmaking. Throughout the event, we welcomed leading names from the industry to preview our Autumn/Winter 2026/27 collection — a refined showcase of cashmere, wool-cashmere blends, and camelhair, woven in Yorkshire with the care and character that defines Joshua Ellis.
A warm reception
From the outset, the reception was exceptional. Customers, prospects, and collaborators— stepped in for a closer look. With steady footfall and thoughtful conversations throughout the week, it was a timely reminder of the role Luxury Fabrics continues to play in shaping the textile industry. The strength of our collections, paired with a purposeful and present team, left visitors with a lasting impression of what we stand for.
Highlights from the week included:
An opening evening that formally welcomed the Luxury Fabrics group to Savile Row, with an exclusive preview event supported by UKFT. Leading figures from across the tailoring industry joined us to mark the occasion.
A Women in Tailoring panel event that brought together 74 of the most respected women in the industry. The discussion, “Things I Wish I Knew When Starting My Business”, was moderated by Molly Anderson and featured Deema Abi-Chahine, Claire Barrett of Hawthorne & Heaney, Imogen Johnson-Gilbert of Kipper & Chalk, and Susannah Hall — sharing honest and powerful insights with the next generation.
A dedicated open day and evening co-hosted with Lambton Tailoring. Customer houses were welcomed throughout the day to explore the new collections in an engaging and collaborative setting, alongside Lambton’s refined tailoring perspective.
Check It’s Wool — an evening hosted by Campaign for Wool to mark their 15th anniversary, in partnership with Woolmark.
Thirty highly regarded guests gathered to celebrate the continued relevance of wool in modern tailoring and its role in British textile heritage. Across the week, we welcomed designers, buyers, and creative teams from some of the most iconic British and international fashion houses, who previewed our AW26/27 collections and offered valuable feedback on the direction and depth of our ranges.
As one guest remarked on Thursday evening, it was “one of the best things to hit the Row in some time.”
The Mill on The Row was more than a showcase — it was a statement. A moment of presence, pride, and progress for the Luxury Fabrics brands. The conversations it sparked, the relationships it deepened, and the opportunities it opened made it a defining week — with momentum that extends far beyond Savile Row.
